Sabrina Gray

Coordinator of Planning Ahead, Prayer Ministry Leader

Rev. Sabrina Brown Gray is a true Renaissance woman, whose passion for teaching and ministry has touched the lives of countless individuals. Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, she made her way to Boston to attend Brandeis University and Lesley College. She has also traveled extensively, doing missionary work in Senegal and Tanzania.

For 33 years, Rev. Sabrina dedicated her life to teaching, inspiring and empowering students across urban, suburban, public and private schools throughout the country. She co-founded Cornerstone Christian Preparatory School and served as its principal, educating children from kindergarten through grade 5.

Her work as an educator has been recognized with several awards, including the Rev. Ozzie L. Edwards Black Educators’ Award and Educator of the Year award from The Boston & Vicinity of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women’ Club, Inc.

Rev. Sabrina's passion for ministry is equally remarkable. She was ordained as an African Methodist Episcopal (AME) elder in 2008 and has served on the ministerial staff at Bethel AME Church, where she is a beloved member of the community. Her ministries have included Sunday school teacher and superintendent, children’s church director, and currently, Prayer Ministry leader and coordinator of the Planning Ahead ministry, which prepares people to make end-of-life choices.

Beyond her work as an educator and minister, Rev. Sabrina is a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She is the proud wife of Pastor Bob Gray, the mother of 5 children, and the stepmother of 3 children. She is also the ecstatic grandmother of 9 grandchildren.

Incredibly, Rev. Sabrina ran her first marathon at age 60, completing the Philadelphia marathon, and continues to run in races in the area. She is also a passionate reader and a gifted writer, about to publish her first book, knowing her greatest asset is her story.

Rev. Sabrina's passion for praying and discipling others as they walk and grow in Christ shines through in everything she does. Her warm smile and infectious laugh are a reflection of the love she has for her family, her community, and her faith.
