EDEN Initiative

Encourage Bethel to be a good steward of the environment by recycling, composting and investigating the use of renewable energy on campus.

Fatherhood Program

Provides probationers who are also fathers a twelve-week parenting program involving peer support, group discussion, and workshop presentations.

Greeters Ministry

Provides a smiling face and warm handshake proclaiming, “Welcome to Bethel.” Greeters provide information for first-time visitors and serve other worshippers as needed.

Lay Organization

Teaches about the history and structure of the AME Church, encourages the laity of the church to fully utilize their gifts and abilities, and supports the Connectional Lay Organization.

My Father’s House of Hope

Promotes the emotional, spiritual and physical well-being of men by providing support and a safe haven for those in crisis and transition. As a confidential Christian-based support group for men, My Father’s House of Hope addresses addictions, anger management, social and economic issues.

Ensures the safety and security of the Bethel campus.

Stephen Ministry

Provides care for those Bethel members going through crisis situations and “deep valleys” in their lives, through a program of lay pastoral counseling and care giving.

Young People’s Division and Children’s Division

of the Women’s Missionary Society (YPD)

Trains young people to be leaders who are knowledgeable about the AME Church and who serve locally and globally through community service projects and mission trips abroad.
